About the author

content_img_1 William J. Jefferson is a published author, former lawyer and former public official. He writes inspirational books of poetry, fiction and nonfiction. He also writes motivational songs. Most of Jefferson’s books and songs have to do with the spiritual and magical power of love to knit families and people together. His role as the father of five and the grandfather of eight, however, Jefferson counts as his highest honors and blessings. Jefferson wrote the pages of his latest book, “The Boy Who Wouldn’t Cheer for His Sister.” But the ideas for this book emanated from the minds of and creative interactions between two of his grandchildren, Zora Andrea Exum, 8-years-old, and her brother, Xavier Lowen Exum, 6. Thus, their love and support for each other actually wrote this book. Together, virtually every day, Zora, Xavier and Jefferson’s other children and grandchildren continue to write new, brilliant, captivating and inspiring stories for books from which other children and their families may learn and benefit.
